The practice

The breath

The breath or pranayama in yoga is to help you connect your mind and body. Every movement or transition is explained through a breath que. This narrative is important because, purposeful breathing keeps the mind focused on the asana practice in a deep way. Mindful strength turns in higher awareness and peace within.

Meditation

The asana practice is a full preparation for meditation. This takes place from the beginning of class, the first conscious breath, transition into an asana posture, and keeping your awareness on and intention or simple you breath. A mind focused on something intentional either moving or in stillness, is meditation. Class always starts with stillness and intention setting and ends with savasana, the final resting posture.

Yoga Asana

In a Taterra yoga class, expect to be fully guided into each asana. The asana are the postures you create with your physical body. Combining intentional movement and mindful strength. Throughout class you will be drawing inward to explore how a posture can guide you into a moving meditation.
